Montana Gender Alliance

The Montana Gender Alliance focuses on direct aid for the transgender community within Montana. Services offered include ally trainings, name change help, support group facilitation and much more.

  • Transgender support group: For anyone that identifies as transgender, non-binary, or two-spirit. Based out of Helena but currently being held via zoom. This group meets every 1stand 3rd Monday of the month from 6PM – 8PM.
  • Parent support group: This support group is offered to any parent of a transgender, non-binary, or two-spirit person. During this meeting we will discuss the issues, challenges and joys present while raising a gender-diverse child. This group meets every 1stand 3rd Thursday of the month from 6:30PM – 8:30PM and is currently meeting via zoom.

LGBTQ+ Healthcare Ally Trained

In 2017 Bridgercare collaborated with staff and volunteers from Bozeman Health, MSU’s Diversity and Inclusion Student Commons, Dr. Kathryn Lowe and members and allies of the local LGBTQ+ community to create the LGBTQ+ Healthcare Allies Training. This training teaches all members in a clinical setting, both providers and support staff, to provide affirming care to the LGBTQ+ population. Open to All: Montana Supportive Business Initiative

Open to All celebrates and raises the visibility of local Montana businesses that are working to create fair and inclusive spaces for LGBTQ+ people. Participating organizations have expressed a commitment to improving their communities and centering the vulnerable populations that have so often been pushed to the margins.
