Practicum & Internships
Bridgercare is proud to be a teaching institution. We offer internships and practicums to students enrolled in accredited institutions.
Medical Practicums
-
Due to concerns over patient privacy and HIPAA regulations, only medical practicum students are allowed to work directly with patients. If you are a current RN, NP or PA student in need of credit hours as part of your course work, please contact Elly Webster at ewebster@bridgercare.org to learn more about upcoming placement opportunities.

Please send an email to Elly Webster at ewebster@bridgercare.org with the following:

Undergraduate Internship Program FAQs
-
Yes, Bridgercare interns receive a stipend of $1,800 over the course of their internship in 3 distributions of $600. Disbursement is based on adequate project completion and participation.
-
This internship does not offer any direct medical experience, but we encourage people interested in medicine to apply as it is a great way to get a peek behind the curtain of clinical operations and learn more about community needs!
-
Interns manage their own time for the most part and are able to set their own schedules (within business hours). Our interns do a variety of projects that change each day and may include stickering condoms, attending tabling events, writing blogs, running errands, attending weekly sex ed trainings, and more.
-
We consider “full time” to be 8-10 hours a week for interns. We cannot typically accommodate people seeking 20+ hours of internship hours per week but may consider if we have fewer than three interns for that semester.
-
We take three interns per semester and typically receive 6 or more applications per period. We welcome you to apply more than once, or to indicate that you are available for more than one of our internship semesters (spring, fall, and summer) as we may invite you to interview for a later semester! If we interview you and you are a good candidate, we may invite you for a later internship.
