- Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)
This infection affects the urinary tract, and symptoms can include pain or stinging while urinating, strong urge to urinate, needing to urinate more frequently, feeling unable to empty your bladder completely, pressure in the lower belly and/or lower back pain, urine that smells bad, urine that looks milky, cloudy, or reddish, or a fever. - Bacterial vaginosis (BV)
BV is a condition in which the normal balance of bacteria in the vagina is disrupted and replaced by an overgrowth of certain bacteria. Symptoms may include burning during urination, itching around the outside of the vagina, and/or abnormal discharge with an unpleasant or “fishy” odor. More info here.
- Yeast infections (candidiasis or thrush)
Yeast infections are caused by the overgrowth of tiny yeast cells in the vagina. Symptoms include itchiness, burning, and/or a feeling of swollenness and irritation in the vagina, and a thick, white “cottage cheese” discharge. More info here.
